Compression Policy Settings

[Policy] > [Basic Declassification Policy] > [Compression] Settings​

The compression tab sets restrictions considering system performance and security when handling compressed files such as ZIP, TAR, and 7Z.
You can limit the number of files and the nesting depth inside the compressed file to prevent system load and block attempts to hide malicious content.

⚠️ The basic declassification policy setting authority is granted to [Administrator Type - Super Administrator], and
Administrator permission settings can be done in [Administrator] > [Administrator List].

Detailed Description of Settings Items​

Policy NameExplanation
Limit on the Number of Files in a Compressed ArchiveLimits the maximum number of files to process within the compressed file. If there are too many files in the compressed file, the defanging processing time will increase, leading to higher system load and causing other file processing requests to wait. --- Setting it to '0' will operate with no limit, which may result in longer processing times.
Compression File Subdirectory Depth LimitSpecifies the maximum allowed depth of nested compression. In general environments, more than 3 levels of nesting is rare, and exceeding this may be considered an attempt to hide malicious content or bypass policies. --- Setting it to '0' operates with no restrictions, but it is not recommended as it may cause service errors due to abnormal nesting structures.

Input Rules and Precautions​

  • Large compressed files or compressed files containing many files may take a long time to process, so a proper limit on the number is recommended.
  • Abnormal nesting structures can be considered attempts to hide malicious content or attempts to attack the system, so a proper depth limit is recommended.
